From NAMCS to NAMCON

NAMCON was initially known publicly as NAMCS — National Agricultural Mechanization Cooperative Society — and is now known as NAMCON — National Agricultural Mechanization Cooperative of Nigeria. This is an organizational evolution.

Programme design broadened from mechanization services into farmer empowerment, youth development, women's participation and rural socio-economic initiatives.

Cooperative structures were extended towards state-level chapters and local government coordination, creating a framework for national reach.

The programme portfolio that is today presented as the NAMCON Super 16 was progressively developed across agriculture, skills, infrastructure, finance, energy and human development.
